Packaging buying guide
A folding carton is cut and creased from paperboard, then folded into a three-dimensional pack. Cartons can be supplied flat for erection at pack-out; the quoted construction determines which joints are glued and which closures are assembled by the packer.
A serum bottle, cream jar and slim cosmetic tube have different footprints and weights. Specify the closed container dimensions, loading direction and filled weight before choosing a tuck or alternative bottom closure. A folding carton is a retail outer pack, not automatically a shipping container.
Review tuck clearance, glue zones, panel order and the time needed to load the product. An insert may help position a narrow bottle or separate a set, but should not obstruct the closing flaps.
Confirm board specification, crease behavior, fit, closure security and barcode position. Assess fold cracking or rub on a relevant sample where required; a screen proof does not establish physical strength.
Compare folding cartons with rigid boxes. For a project review, share the finished product, quantity, destination and requirements through a custom quote brief. Availability and the final specification are confirmed in writing.
